Strategic Statement: Upholding Peace and Democracy During and After Ghana’s Elections

Today, as Ghanaians head to the polls, the International Perspective for Policy and Governance (IPPG) emphasizes the importance of upholding fairness, transparency, and peace throughout this democratic process. Ghana has long been a beacon of democracy in Africa, and this election serves as another opportunity to demonstrate our collective commitment to good governance and national unity.

We make a strong appeal to all stakeholders:

1. Voters: Exercise your right to vote responsibly, peacefully, and with a focus on the future of Ghana. Every vote counts, and your voice matters.

2. The Electoral Commission: Continue ensuring transparency and impartiality to maintain trust in the electoral process.

3. Political Parties and Leaders: Accept the will of the people with grace and resolve disputes through legal and peaceful mechanisms. Avoid any actions or statements that may incite division or violence.

4. Security Agencies: Act with professionalism, neutrality, and integrity to safeguard citizens and the electoral process.
