IPPG Opens Call for Abstracts for Ghana Climate Resilience Workshop 2025

The International Perspective for Policy & Governance (IPPG) is pleased to announce the upcoming Ghana Climate Resilience Workshop (GCRW), scheduled for July 23 and 25, 2025, and invites submissions in response to its call for abstracts, now open until June 13, 2025.
Rationale:
Ghana faces intensifying climate challenges, from erratic rainfall and rising temperatures to coastal erosion and food insecuritythat threaten public health, economic stability, and national development. While researchers across academia, think tanks, and civil society are generating valuable insights into these issues, their findings are often fragmented and disconnected from national policy processes. The Ghana Climate Resilience Workshop (GCRW) aims to bridge this gap by creating a collaborative platform to consolidate research insights and policy recommendations, promote cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary dialogue, and inform evidence-based decision-making aligned with Ghana’s climate goals and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Under the theme “Bridging the Research and Policy Gap for Climate Action in Ghana,” the workshop will convene scholars, researchers, and experts working on climate change, energy transition, and environmental sustainability.
Workshop Format:
The two-day event will take place in a hybrid format:
- July 23 – Virtual session to ensure broad national and international participation.
- July 25 – In-person session in Accra to enable direct engagement, networking, and policy dialogue among stakeholders.
