In Memory of Service and Sacrifice꞉ IPPG Statement on Adansi Helicopter Tragedy

We are deeply saddened by the tragic helicopter crash in the Adansi area of the Ashanti Region that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians; five public servants and three military officers.
We honour their memory and service꞉
Civilians

  1. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah – Minister for Defence
  2. Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed – MP and Minister for Environment, Science and Technology
  3. Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator
  4. Dr. Samuel Sarpong – Vice Chair of the National Democratic Congress
  5. Mr. Samuel Aboagye – Former parliamentary candidate

Military personnel

  1. Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala
  2. Flying Officer Manin Twum‑Ampadu
  3. Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah

Their loss is a painful reminder of the risks borne by those who commit their lives to national duty.
Our thoughts are with their families, loved ones, and all Ghanaians mourning this devastating loss. We join the nation in remembering their service and in praying for peace and comfort during this time.
